The Co-op has been supporting Fairtrade since 1992 and this has gone from strength to strength with Fairtrade products on sale in every one of the East of England Co-op’s supermarkets and food stores across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex.

Fairtrade offers a fair price to producers for their crop, which is guaranteed to be above the world price and cover the cost of production – offering stability if crop prices collapse. An additional social premium is paid on top which can be spent as the producers choose to benefit their communities, enabling thousands of pounds to be invested in education and healthcare for example.

In our East of England Co-operative supermarkets and
food stores we have an excellent variety of Fairtrade products, including all of our own brand hot beverage range of tea, coffee and hot chocolate. You could try our selection of Co-operative brand Fairtrade chocolate or wines, fruit and juices, or other tasty treats like cakes, sugar and honey.
