The eye test
We recommend that you have your eyes tested every two years by an Optometrist. They will check your medical history relevant to your vision, measure your visual performance and run diagnostic tests on the condition of your eyes. You are then issued with an optical prescription, which is free to those aged over 60. If you are interested in contact lenses, a second appointment with a contact lens specialist will check your suitability. |
Choices
Once your eyes have been tested our dispensing optician can advise you on the choice of spectacles and contact lenses matching your prescription.
Using specialist computer software we can also help you see yourself in several styles of glasses, making it easier to see which best suit you without taking off your current glasses. |
Fitting and delivery
We can have spectacle lenses manufactured for you and fitted for comfort within a few days. Contact lenses can be supplied by post but more normally are supplied upon your annual check-up. Ongoing advice and support are important to customers who choose varifocal lenses and contact lenses; so we provide this as part of the service. |
